small aperture fashion photoshooting

I love to shoot at small apertures. That allows me to 'drive' my lights right where I like them to shine. So I've been out there shooting at relatively small aperture and see the outcome on a fashion photo shooting. It works to my eyes even though some times further light modifiers as grids and honeycombs have been useful to achieve a stronger effect. I've used bigger shapers when outdoor (chimera 5 feet octaplus) and smaller ones (traditional beauty dish) when shooting indoor.
